Before you start
To apply for a free Spaceports CGI-BIN account you will need:-
- An existing standard Web site account with Spaceports
- The same email address you used to sign up for that account
- The username and password you used before
- To agree to their terms and conditions.
Before you build
To actually make use of the service after applying you will also need:-
- Information from the email sent to you
- An HTML or text editor of some kind
- An FTP client of some sort - some HTML editors have them built-in
Knowing how to use all of the above is practically a must as Spaceports is not really set up for
absolute beginners. They do not currently offer support for CGI accounts other than through
the Spaceports Forums.

To apply
The application process is as follows:-
- Go to http://www.spaceports.com
- Follow the members link
- Login to the account services
- Follow the register for a CGI site link
- Complete the short online form and submit it
- Return to the main members menu
- Follow the CGI FAQ link
- Read all the information there
- Check your email account for your details.
